Knit your way through some of the world's most beautiful island landscapes.

In Island Knitting, best-selling author and knitwear designer Erika Åberg takes you on a journey through Shetland, the Hebrides, Gotland, and Blidö, with 20 timeless knitting patterns inspired by the colors, landscapes, traditions, and wool of these remarkable islands.

Each island has its own chapter exploring its history, culture, knitting traditions, and native sheep breeds, followed by five beautiful projects inspired by that place. You'll find everything from cozy sweaters and socks to shawls and accessories, with detailed instructions and easy-to-follow colorwork charts.

Inside you'll find:

  • 20 knitting patterns inspired by four Scottish and Swedish islands
  • Sweaters, shawls, socks, and accessories
  • Beautiful colorwork and timeless Nordic and island-inspired designs
  • Stories about each island's landscape, culture, and knitting traditions
  • Fascinating information about native sheep breeds and wool
  • Essential knitting techniques and colorwork guidance

Part knitting book, part travel escape, Island Knitting is a gorgeous choice for knitters who love wool, colorwork, traditional craft, and a little armchair wandering.
