Knit a richly textured hat with a classic folded brim and plenty of visual interest—all in one easy, giftable kit.
The March Hat, designed by Meghan Babin for Kelbourne Woolens’ Year of Hats, is worked in the round from the brim up. The design combines ribbing and an easy-to-learn seersucker pattern for a hat that looks special but is accessible to newer hat knitters.
Each kit includes:
- 1 skein of Kelbourne Woolens Keystone Worsted in your chosen color
- A printed copy of the March Hat pattern
- A stitch marker
- An organza project bag
Kelbourne Woolens Keystone is a versatile worsted-weight yarn made in the USA from a blend of wool and upcycled acrylic. It has the warmth and character of wool with added durability, making it a great choice for everyday accessories and gift knitting. One skein is enough to complete the March Hat.
The pattern uses US 3, US 5, and US 7 circular needles, plus US 7 DPNs for the crown. It’s best suited to knitters who are comfortable working in the round and ready for an engaging textured.
Finished sizes: approximately 18" or 20" circumference and 10.5" tall.
A fun project for yourself—or a thoughtful handmade gift for someone else.
