Nixe by Melanie Berg pairs two colors of Pasquali Balayage in a simple, repetitive slipped-stitch pattern that creates the look of shimmering mermaid scales. The result is a generously sized asymmetrical shawl with plenty of visual interest without complicated colorwork.

Choosing Your Colors

For the most impact, choose a Balayage Solid for your main color and pair it with one of the coordinating Balayage Handpaints. The hand-dyed color will pop against the quieter background while still feeling beautifully connected.

Prefer something more subtle? Two coordinating solids can create a softer, sophisticated version. Just make sure there's enough contrast between your colors for the slipped-stitch pattern to show.

Balayage is a luxurious blend of Baby Alpaca and Extrafine Merino, giving Nixe beautiful drape, softness, and warmth without feeling heavy.

Finished size is approximately 98.5" wingspan × 23.5" deep.

You'll also need US 4 / 3.5mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

When will my order ship?
We will package and ship your order within 1-3 business days.

Can I pick up my order in the shop?
Yes! Just select pick-up at check-out. We will hold your order for twenty business days. If you have not picked up your order by then, we will refund your money and the items purchased will be returned to our inventory.

Who do you use for shipping?
We currently use USPS for shipping.

How much is shipping?
We charge a Flat Rate shipping fee of $7.99 for orders under $75. Orders over $75 ship free.

Do you ship outside the US
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship outside of the United States. If you would like to make a special request for an international delivery, please contact us.

What is your return policy?
Unused items in their original condition can be returned in store or through the mail within 30 days of purchase with receipt or invoice. Clearance items, books, magazines and patterns are not returnable.

If a needle or hook is defective, please contact us and we will work with you and the manufacturer to get a replacement.

Can I return yarn?
Unused yarn in its original condition can be returned in store with a receipt within 30 days of purchase. Or you can send back any unused yarn in its original condition with a copy of your invoice within 30 days of purchase to:
