Project Finishing: Seaming & More

You’ve finished the stitching—now let’s make it look finished.

Those final steps can make a big difference in how your handmade project looks and feels. In this 2-hour class for both knitters and crocheters, you’ll practice techniques for neatly seaming pieces together, weaving in ends, and giving your finished projects a more polished look.

You’ll practice on your own swatches during class, giving you a chance to actually try the techniques with guidance from the instructor. Have a project sitting unfinished because you’re not quite sure what to do next? You may also bring one project for individual finishing help.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner and up. Students should be comfortable with the basics of knitting or crochet.

Class Size: Limited to 4 students so everyone has time for individual guidance and finishing help.

Please Bring:

• Knitters: Two 4" x 4" swatches in stockinette or garter stitch
• Crocheters: Two 4" x 4" swatches in any stitch
• One swatch is okay if you aren't able to make two
• Tapestry needle, scissors and basic supplies for your craft
• Optional: One project you'd like help finishing

Can I bring my own yarn?
Yarn used for classes and events must be purchased in the shop, with very rare exceptions (which will be mentioned in the class description). Some classes include the cost of supplies. For those which do not, we offer a 10% discount for the yarn used for a class.
